'The Brussels Code' is a mad dash through the history of Western Art, featuring Brussels sprouts as the symbolic subject. This book and its illustrations are certainly not meant to be taken seriously, but were developed as a satirical view of art history in general. The illustrations and exerps from the accompanying short stories are a synthesis of clever lies with a bit of truth thrown in, and as a result, they are wickedly funny.
